Dear Sir.

I do not know whether this may be of any use to you. but I thought I would send it along. as a chance shot rather than that something of help to the safety of motoring should be missed.
Enclosed is a diagram of a contrivance for the safety of motoring on greasy roads. It is a simple contrivance so I will not waste fruitless words. It is contrived of a spongy wheel fixed so as to run in front of the wheel. sopping up the grease as it passes along and. leaving a dry gripping surface for the wheel.
It can be operated on or of to suit the purpose. and whether it is run upon ball-bearings is left to your better knowledge of mechanism. Hoping you will kindly favour a reply
I am

Yours faithfully
C. H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} Haywood.
