SPARKING PLUGS.

We have developed in our electrical section a very efficient routine for the maintenance of sparking plugs which has during the last year saved a lot of time and avoided considerable unnecessary scrap of plugs.

We would recommend that a similar procedure be adopted on production test also.

To do this efficiently we suggest that the responsibility of the maintenance of all plugs be controlled by Wst. who would see that the right plugs are used on engines and be in charge of the plug service station.

This would centralize the job and give Wst. much more valuable experience as well as preventing the wrong type of plug being used on production engines, which frequently occurs.

I wouldlike your views on the matter as it will be necessary to make suitable arrangements for the large quantities of plugs which will be dealt with weekly.
