Dear Sirs,

With further reference to our letter of the 27th January, we confirm the visit of Mr. Hardy and Mr. Birabin to our Works yesterday in connection with the cutting of the teeth E on your drawing GB.4614, when we cut these teeth in your wood sample blank.

We hope that you will find this satisfactory, and if it is your intention to place an order with us for cutting these in quantities, please let us know as soon as possible, as we shall have to put a special cutter in hand for doing this work. We had to grind the cutter specially for cutting the wood blank, but it would not be suitable for cutting these gears in quantities.

We were pleased to learn from your representatives that you have been able to increase the gap of 0.275 in. and we should be glad if you would let us know the maximum which you could allow for this, as the greater the gap, the better it would be for cutting.

Yours faithfully,
DAVID BROWN & SONS (HUDD) LTD.

A.{Mr Adams} Avison,
General Sales Manager.
