BENTLEY V.{VIENNA} ENGINE CONTROLS. _____________________________ Please receive herewith :- E.CD.1260 Modified Engine Controls. B.V. In view of the decision to again use the automatic starting carburetter instead of the hand mixture controls, and also to provide a control for the damper governor unit of the new type Bentley V.{VIENNA} gearbox, we have shewn on this design the necessary modifications to the engine controls to suit. The throttle and damper governor controls are generally the same as designed for 'Corniche' to E.CD.1205/6, the only alterations being to suit the new steering column F.CD.1262 on which the size of the control tubes in column are different and also the angular movements of the levers on the column are increased to 80°, thereby altering the lengths of one or two control levers to correct the movements. The mixture and ignition controls shown on E.CD.1205/6 are of course entirely eliminated for the Bentley V.{VIENNA} Will you please detail and instruct experimentally with a view to standardising for the 300 sets of B.V.
