RE RUNNING OF 7-CA CAR.

The last time 7-CA Carburetter was cleaned out was when the float needle was changed; this was about 18 months ago.

We are sending to you a new gauze for the Petrol filter. We have had a very similar trouble on 49-GB to what you complain of. We found on examination of the filter in the petrol tank, that the gauze was rotted. As it is a very long time since the petrol filter on 7-CA was examined, we think very possibly you will find that in the same condition.

We found with 49-GB that it was necessary to wash out the petrol pipes when we fitted new gauze. Since we have done that we have had no further trouble. The trouble we had before doing this was, that the engine would nearly stop on the road, pick up for a short time, then go off again.

EH.
