As the result of a trial yesterday by Mr. Royce of this car, after which he expressed the opinion that the springing was too rigid, he instructed that the following experiments should be made:- 1. 10% lighter springs of present standard pattern should be tried all round. 2. 10% lighter springs should be tried in the rear built up with no "nip". Will you please therefore prepare the following springs for this car with the least possible delay and forward these to Cricklewood so that arrangements may be made for fitting:- 1. One pair of front springs, standard pattern, 600 lbs. 2. One pair of rear springs, standard pattern, 825 lbs. 3. One pair of rear springs 825 lbs with no "nip". (Signature) CWB. | ||
