X.3714. ALL BAKELITE IGNITION WIRING TUBES X.3513.
X.4119.

We are particularly anxious at this stage to be able to try the experiment on a Phantom chassis of insulating bakelite material.

It is understood that Mr.Brock could arrange to make up some temporary bakelite wiring tubes for the Phantom on 20 HP. wiring tube halves. Will you please arrange with Mr.Brock to supply one set of battery and magneto ignition tubes for this purpose suitable for Phantom chassis. It will be understood that it is, at this stage, a pure experiment, the experiment being as to whether any static induction effects from wire to wire can be observed in running condition on the road.

For Mr.Hives' information we would say that we have conducted tests on the bench the resulting effects of which are so exactly between the effects that we know would be wrong and the certain absence of any effect that it is impossible to say for certain that the effect will be wholly absent on the chassis, though so far as we can judge we feel pretty confident that it will be absent.
