This unit has now completed a 10,000 mile bench test in conjunction with the nearly closed iron circuit & Delco coil supplied with it. During the test it was observed that regular H.T sparking could not be obtained on 6.5mm gaps, apparently owing to insufficient coil energy. This was partially proved by placing the hand round the coil when running, which action almost completely extinguished all the sparks on 6.5mm gaps.
