X.4021. WATFORD IS.12 AERO MAGNETOS
Nos. 98033/4 ex F.14-13.

As a result of an enquiry by the A.I.D. as to the material of the gear wheels on these magnetos, we have partially dismantled these magnetos to ascertain this. We find that the large distributor gear wheel is made of continental bakelite, and the rotor pinion of steel (presumably M.S.).

This will also confirm that you will let us know whether you require these magnetos to be returned to Messrs. North for re-assembling and testing or whether same is to be carried out here.
