To BY: Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} V1033 E/PSN.3/MN.22.11.35. Copy to Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} RHO Duplex Carburetter on Phantom III. The decision to change over from the four carburetters to the Duplex carburetter will necessitate the holding up of the following parts which are affected in addition to the carburetters, air silencers and induction pipes themselves:- (1) Top water rails to which bosses will have to be added for connections to the water heated induction system. (2) Water pump to which a boss will have to be added to take the pipe from the outlet of the water heated jacket. (3) Rocker covers. It will not be possible to use the present breather outlets on the rocker cover with the Duplex carburetter. (4) Tappet covers in the 'V'. The alteration to these is not important and will merely consist of the removal of all bosses which were necessary for carrying the controls with the four carburetter system. E/PSN. | ||
