We are sending you herewith LeC/2861. shewing the illustrations of various pistons compared, xxx supplied by MX.{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer}, traced for record purposes.
A print is attached to MX{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer}'s copy of this memo.
In reply to HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/RM{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}1/MJ14131., we think that the bearing surface might be tried on the lines of the RRAL pistons - i.e. starting at the same width as P. 2. at the top of the skirt but expanding more rapidly.
