-cont'd- -2- EV{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}/JD.{J. Draper - Frames}5/SO.5.5.42. The next problem was to match the Austin 8 1st motion shaft with the Myth clutch. On PL.1997 is shown the Myth clutch with a Borg & Beck thrust ring held to the clutch operating fingers, into this is pressed a distance tube to suit the clutch operating thrust pad, attached to the Austin 8 gearbox clutch operating shaft. An extension piece is shown added to the Austin 8 1st motion shaft to suit the Myth clutch and locate in the end of the Myth crankcase. We should point out that as the clutch lever is attached to the Austin gearbox it will move rearwards the same amount that the gearbox is moved. We believe that when the necessary parts on these schemes have been detailed and made it is possible for Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Wym.{G. Harold Whyman - Experimental Manager} to complete the rest of the installation without further drawings. W. Allen is now engaged on designing the front roll rod for the Austin 8, and if by the time he has completed the scheme Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/HH. has not had chance to get the above mentioned schemes detailed, he will follow on and detail them.
