With reference to Edison batteries, Wilson here reports that one or two of them have gone wrong, leaking. These batteries altogether have not been a success in my opinion as batteries, and I should recommend that we spend no more money on them. As an alternative to the Exide Cell I understand the Tudor people are making quite a number of traction batteries, and this of course is the type of cell exactly inaccordance with the needs of the self starter, and I think would be worth while to get a battery from the Tudor people for this purpose to compare with the one you are getting from the Chloride people, the makers of the Exide cell.
