Coverley - Production Engineer} HPS.{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/HDY.{William Hardy} G/Rb.{R. Bowen} Wraith II Steering Box. We have been given to understand that the long drillings in the cam rocker shaft to provide oil ways are difficult to do and expensive, whilst they prevent our drilling large holes in the rocker shaft to reduce its weight. In order to overcome these objections, on N.Sch.5043 herewith we show a means of avoiding passing the oil through the cam rocker shaft. The scheme is not quite so tidy but we feel it might prove less expensive and lighter, We are sending a print of N.Sch.5043 to be costed in comparison with the present scheme. Att:N.Sch.5043.
