To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} from EFC. c. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/AJL. X7650 EFC4/T8.7.27. SEQUENCE STARTER NO.1 SCHEME FOR 9-EX. As a result of our experiments on the rig it is now desired to change the arrangement on 9-EX from the 34° 52' spiral with pinion operated switch, to the 20° spiral with actuator box operated switch. This is the second of the two arrangements which we have experimented upon, and which is on our rig at the present moment. It will be necessary to use the armature with the 20° spiral from this rig to replace the armature at present on the motor on the car, but the carcase of the motor on the car will be O.K. When removing the pinion operated switch the opening can be covered by a plate. You have a second actuator box operated switch in addition to the one on our rig, either of which may be used for this purpose in place of the actuator at present on the car. We hope that the functioning of the apparatus may by this change be considerably improved, but that remains to be seen. EFC. | ||
