To Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/RM{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} From GWH{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} Hôtel de France Châteauroux. We had a spell of hot weather yesterday which gave us an inclination that the cooling of 23-EX will be inadequate when the really hot weather does come. the average air temp was 22.5°C and our water temp was up to 90°C and would have easily reached 100°C with a further pushing of the car. It would seem therefore that the radiator will not be capable of dealing with the water temp. It is not any question of the radiator tubes being stopped up or that the radiator shutters were not opened fully, as both these items were checked. We give you this information so that if possible remedies can be gone into. We have not run into any other serious trouble except the oil leak along the rear axle shafts. We have not made a special report of this because we have been expecting information for the remedy. We shall be pleased if you will send us any details that you are aware of. G.W.H/ | ||
