1938 Motor Show model, independent suspension, and the potential market impact of the Bentley III.

This means that we shall go to the 1938 Motor Show with a new model in our high performance class which will have acceleration equal only to the original 1934 3½-litre trials cars.

We have hopes that the independent suspension will deal with the increased weight on the front wheels, but other things being equal a light car will always handle better than a heavy one.

Briefly, we think that Bentley III may attract some potential 25/30 owners, but it may estrange some existing Bentley owners because it is more pleasant to be driven in than to drive. The net result may well be less total sales for the Company.
