and agree with By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} for this reason it would be advisable to buy a 3½-litre car, if, as Lyons suggested, we could get it before Christmas.

With regard to the chassis, the only thing of real interest, apart from the price at which it must be purchased, was the frame which has no cross in it, but would appear to be ideal for a small car. The merits of this should be well worth investigating.

We should never have the courage to ask production to make their petrol tank.

We have provisionally arranged for Mr. Lyons to pay a return visit to the Works, with his Chief Assistants, on Wednesday 8th December. He will be arriving about 11.30.a.m. We believe it would be worth Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}' while to have a talk with him.
