FWJ/DB. {Donald Bastow - Suspensions} Messrs Rolls Royce Ltd. DERBY. 20th February, 1937. For the attention of Mr.F.J.Hardy (Experimental Dept.) Dear Sirs, We acknowledge receipt of your letter of the 16th instant sent for the attention of Mr.Matravers, and would advise that the three replacement Cams our M.22166 against your order No.17023 are promised by our Works for the 27th instant approx. With regard to the two cams M.22344, our Works at the moment cannot give us a promise for these due to the fact that we are behind in delivery of production Cams owing to the quantity of rejects that your Works have sent in, which were Cams supplied previous to the agreement reached after the visit of your Mr.Bailey to these Works. Your Production Department insist that we must give preferential treatment to production orders, and we should be glad if you could collaborate with them as to what we should do for these two experimental Cams M.22344 as they keep urging us for delivery of production Cams saying that they are entirely out of stock. To some extent we are mystified by this, in view of the fact that we have had big batches of reject Cams, the majority of which were delivered to them some considerable time ago, and it would appear to us that at times then they have told us that they are out of stock of Cams, - 1 - | ||
