BENTLEY V AND PROFESSOR DODDS.

With reference to your Memo.

Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}22/KW.20.6.40.

In spite of Professor Dodds's speedometer evidence to the contrary, there is no appreciable difference between the maximum speeds of B.2. and B.V., though Sleator maintains that the B.V. he has is definitely faster than any of his old cars.

The Corniche, which is at least 10 m.p.h. faster than the B.V. was produced for people whose main interest is to see how fast they can go.

Whether or not independent suspension gives a better ride is a matter of opinion, but there are not many people who agree with Professor Dodds.

With regard to petrol tank capacity, the 16 gallon tank with the overdrive box gives approximately the same range as the 18 gallon tank and the non-overdrive box.

22 gallon tanks are available for people who want abnormal ranges.
