on this matter we are going to ask you to leave both the
gear and brake levers in the present standard positions
which they occupied before the introduction of the 125th.
chassis in 'S' series, as we are not convinced that there
is any case made out for the alterations proposed, and
having the strong support of the Coachbuilders in this
matter we feel that we are embarking on an unnecessary
alteration.

We are glad to note from the last paragraph
of your memo referred to, that you would like to be advised
as soon as possible if the alteration is not agreed to so
that you can stop the Works before they get too far. From
this we conclude that no expense will be involved in
cancelling this alteration.
