Crankcase top half - condition good Crankcase lower half - " " Main Bearings replaced in France. Crankshaft. Slight scoring and wear has taken place on all journals and crankpins, No. 3 crankpin being the worst in this respect. There is also slight evidence of pitting of the crankpin and journal surfaces. All oilcaps rejected due to distortion and grooving of seats. Connecting Rods. General condition good. Nos. 3&6 small end bushes E.51375 rejected owing to slackness in rod. Big end bearings (solid Halls metal) condition good - replaced in France. Cylinders. Head - all seatings are lightly pitted and valve guides slightly bell mouthed. Block. - light scoremarks in all bores, and shoulders forming at T.D.C. and B.D.C. (see chart for actual wear) Pistons. General condition good Valves & Fittings. Inlet Valves Ex.18394 and Exhaust Valves Ex.18395 pitted and grooved on seatings. All bottom spring washers rejected due to excessive wear on spring contact faces. All valve springs in good condition. | ||
