- 2 - E.1/HP.22.12.33. By reducing the housing thickness the diameter of the outer races can be increased to allow of the ball diameter being put up from .437 to .500. We believe this should meet the case but if necessary it is possible to go further and adopt an independent roller journal with a still larger rating thrust bearing carried in an extended housing. This however would mean shortening the propeller shaft and we are not contemplating such an extensive alteration until we believe it to be required. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} | ||
