r6110. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.4/MA. 7th December, 1935. Mr.E.A.Bayles, Messrs.British Insulated Cables, Ltd., Helsby, Nr.WARRINGTON. Dear Mr.Bayles, Our experiments on the Phantom III chassis with B.I.cable covered with "Thiokol" have given very satisfactory results but of course we have been reluctantly forced to drop the cable due to the unfortunate odour. Are you carrying out any experiments with a view to either neutralizing the smell or providing some odour proof covering? It seems a pity that a good thing should be spoilt by its smell. Kind regards, Yours sincerely, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
