1305 c. Roy{Sir Henry Royce}/Les.{Ivan A. Leslie} Experimental Dept. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/AFM.{Anthony F. Martindale}3/MH.{M. Huckerby} 31st. December 1938. Messrs. Toledo Woodhead Springs Ltd., Toledo Spring Works, SHEFFIELD, 1. Your Ref. HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/HCK. For the attention of Mr. Spittlehouse. Dear Sirs, The sample cadmium plated leaf you sent us would appear to give adequate rust protection. There is no need for it to be polished so the 2/6d. finish will do. Our present springs are plated but not polished. The price of 2/6d. per spring would appear reasonable, and a considerable improvement on your last price of 5/6d. Yours faithfully, for ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
