PRICE'S BEGGRAPHINE GREASE. From the condition of the car parts on which Belgraphine grease has been used, we consider that this is not all that could be desired, the condition of the wearing surfaces showing distinct signs of the presence of grit. This point is confirmed in Mr. Hall's report, copy of which was sent to you, H15/EB20.4.21, in which he states that the sample submitted, which was taken straight from the new supply in the Stores, contains 5% ash which contains fine particles of grit. Do you not think this is a point which should be taken up with the makers, also, if this is considered normal, is it possible that they can recommend a grease which is free from such grit? We have in the past recommended this grease because of the Graphite properties which it contains. EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} ORIGINAL | ||
