"D" Dept. c. Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. EF. X4338 BY3-P17.6.22. GOSHAWK 11. PRODUCTION. The position in regard to the sections in "D" Dept. should be brought into line with the following instructions;- 1. The whole of sections 8000 to 8210 are satisfactory for general production. It should be noted that the pressed sheet cover with guides according to R's latest scheme, must be used, on section 8170 Distribution Board & Cut-Out. 2. Switchboards. W.W. have not yet definitely settled a scheme for the magneto switch - this is being taken up with W.W. 3. In connection with Distribution & Battery Ignition section, a note should be added to the drawing that the Cam should be slightly greased. 4. In addition I want Mr Davis to issue an experiment to Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} , for lubricating the Cam by means of two grooves on the face of the fibre pad - if he will see me I will shew him exactly what I want.
