RR 238 (150 BKS.) (DB {Donald Bastow - Suspensions} 461-8-12-24) MP 306975 X4617 ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. INSTRUCTIONS. To E.7.E. 28-11-1928 Order No. IC146. Customer's No. X4617. Re SEX Battery on Footboard. You will remember the battery on SEX which had the broken connecting link & also badly broken sealing compound. This battery was removed to be renovated. P&RRR11-3 (182) was fitted temporarily, the sealing compound of this was in good condition & has since run only 136 miles but the compound is now very badly cracked. SR battery now in good condition has been refitted. The Footboard is weak or loose & it may be that one of the supports is broken. Unless this is attended to the new battery will go the same again in a short time, it will also have the effect of shortening its life.
