Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} RECEIVED JUL 15 1927 Mr. C. Mr. Ever. c. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. Hm.{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs}) X3587 BY15/H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} 14.7.27. 20 HP. STARTER. Referring to R2/M.12.7.27. and R7/M.9.7.27. the information arrived at by Mr.Hancock after making a number of tests was incorporated immediately on production. The new springs and parts are now available, and all chassis being turned out are being fitted with the improved designs. We appreciated the need for making an improvement in this particular mechanism, and immediately Mr.Hancock made his report and demonstration, and we were satisfied by a number of tests that the improvement was really sufficient to justify making a change, we ordered the material and it is actually now in production. With regard to the various experiments outlined in your two memos quoted above, we have put the necessary design work in hand and will issue instructions to the Experimental Dept. in the course of a day or so. Immediately any further improvements resulting from these become available, we will see that they are incorporated in production at the earliest possible moment. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} Br | ||
