Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} CWB. X457 EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}11/H25.3.26. re. STEERING. 20-HP. and 40/50 HP. With reference to your promise to CWB. that new type Friction Scheme should be used to deal with complaints of the low speed steering wobble on 20-HP. cars - will you please confirm that this can be circularised to Depots, and let us have details which can be given to the Depots. In view of the fact that this is not standard can BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} give the necessary permission for Depots to be advised and for parts to be used on customers' cars. Will BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} please instruct the Works for supplies to be put in hand, and will Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} please let us know what prospects there are of our getting some of these parts. With regard to the complaints of 40/50 HP. steering vibration - Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} and Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} also informed CWB. that in cases of complaint the improved support for the steering column could be supplied. Can the same information be given to us for this as for the 20-HP. Friction scheme referred to above? VS.{J. Vickers} EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} | ||
