BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} FROM DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} ORIGINAL. C. to S/. WG{Mr Gill - Financial Director}/. HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} T/. J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} 3. HEADLAMP CONTROL SWITCH. DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}1/211.3.32. X6129 Herewith we send N. schs. 3432/33. N. sch. 3432. shows the arrangement of the control switch, which is intended to be such that it cannot be left mid-way between two positions, and when the break takes place it is as quick as possible. We have endeavoured to use as many parts of the existing lighting switch as possible. N. sch. 3433. shows the mounting of the switch in the frame. It is intended that the spring shall act on the tube in the steering column so as to have the stop on the lever in the quadrant. To prevent the switch flying to pieces when dis-mounted from the chassis we have however provided stops inside the mechanism. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
