Messrs.Rolls-Royce,Ltd., Date 21. 9.28. Page 2 that this, more than its proximity to the unit, will increase the amount of air pumping. 2 In addition, placing the unit approximately 1" closer to the baffle will assist considerably. Any subsequent pumping tests should be done at least at two levels of petrol, namely, 14 gallons and say 7 gallons, so as to explore the two areas of the tank. 3. At the same time, we are making up two units, one which will replace the Sprengel unit at present fitted in the car which we were on yesterday, and another to replace the pressure balance type of unit which we recently delivered to you. These new units will have approximately double the bell capacity, which it would be advantageous to test in conjunction with the altered air pumping conditions which we shall get by moving the unit, and partially stopping up the hole in the baffle. Assuring you at all times of our best attention, We remain, dear Sirs, Yours faithfully, H.M.HOBSON,Ltd., T.P.Searight Joint Managing Director. | ||
