We have received the new clutch plate & springs. There are two developments relating to this :- I) We think the occasional jaggers which have been reported (as apart from transmission rattles) may be due to the worn rear main bearings & it will hardly be a fair test of the new plate with the bearings in this condition. Shall we fit the new plate in spite of this ? 2) Is slip on violent take up for 1-2 seconds reported with the present plate sufficient reason for fitting the stronger (cream colour) springs straight away with the new plate ? Please answer (I) & (2) by telegram so that we can proceed at once with the work. ---------- GWH{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux}/IMW.{Ivan M. Waller - Head of Chateauroux} Ivan H.{Arthur M.
