17th Jan 12.

Concerning Mr Platford's proposal that we should investigate the 57 h.p. Daimler axle.

Mr Platford stated that he thought this car would interest us whether the axle were fitted with a worm or with a bevel drive, because the h.p. was as great or greater than our own.

Mr Wormald said he believed that all these large Daimlers were fitted with bevel drives.

Mr Bailey informed the Committee that very few of these big Daimlers had been built, and that their manufacture had now been stopped.

The Committee agreed that under these circumstances we should not endeavour to obtain a car of this description for test.
