Shock Damper Governor Unit Filter,
N.Sch.4148.
**************************

In view of the trouble which has arisen with cars in customers' hands from dirt under the valves of the governor unit, we think this filter should be brought on to production at the earliest moment, avoiding scrap. If by remote chance we found the filter adversely affected the action of the pump, we would still be able to use the new casing without a filter.

Even if the greatest care is taken in supplying the governor units clean, there will always be the chance of scale from the pipe lines getting to the unit after the chassis leaves the Works. So it appears that until we get a filter as N.Sch.4148 we cannot hope to forget this trouble of dirt under valves.
