MATERIAL TO BE DRAWN FROM RYC Carry out 50 hours Research Running on Kestrel 6 cylinder unit (R.R. property) with Ethylene Glycol cooling adjusting and maintaining the unit as necessary. Carrying out all minor alterations and repairs deemed necessary by the D.of S.R. or by R.R. including stripping, rebuilding and the supply and fitting of replacement parts as may be required, excepting those arising from the complete failure of major components or modification of the design of major components provided such modification has received the prior sanction of the D.of S.R. The programme of research will be laid down by the D.of S.R. and will include a certain amount of running under supercharged conditions. The research running will be only the actual periods of running necessary for obtaining the information to be included in the technical report and will be subject to the approval of the D.of S.R. The contract is to be complete by Dec.7th 1933. Inspection: D.of S.R. Reports in writing to R.D.E.1, Air Ministry, Kingsway, London, W.C.2. on the 25th of each month, giving details of work completed during the preceding month, including the results obtained and also the suggested programme of work to be undertaken during the following month.
