With reference to the attached letter from The Macintosh Cable Co., which we now return, we find on more detailed enquiry that the effect observed is of insufficient magnitude to constitute a complaint at this stage, and we should be pleased if you would withdraw the complaint which we have passed on to the Macintosh Cable Company. At the same time we would like them to understand that though we have every confidence as to the ultimate desirability of utilising this type of H.T. cable in place of our present standard, it is necessary in accordance with our usual rule that standardisation be not effected until a satisfactory 10,000 mile road test has been completed.
