Coverley - Production Engineer} From Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}4/MA.6. 6. 32. J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} III EXHAUST SYSTEM. We want to make some tests with resonance chambers on the front section of the J.III exhaust pipe. As all our baffles and chambers are made up for 3" O.D. pipe we should like a pipe of this dimensions fitted in as shewn. For test purposes we shew the minimum height of pipe above the road that we can run with, and to give us clearance round brake ropes etc. for our resonance chambers it may be necessary to drop the pipe by this amount.
