ORIGINAL Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}4/LGS.12.22. X4327 MAGNETO DRIVE FOR 20 HP. CARS. When running with the magneto fitted, we get slight rattles from the serrated joints. We have tried other types of joints, which, although they overcome the noise, they make it very much more difficult to remove or replace the magneto. As at present the magneto must be removed every time the tappets are adjusted, it is necessary to have an easily detachable joint. We have found that if we can apply friction to the present serrated joints, it will prevent the noise. We feel that we have got to do something with this before we can be satisfied with the magneto as arranged on the 20 HP. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
