(3) Rubber Gearbox mounting, N.Sch.4020.
The conical front mounting rubbers have collapsed badly due to heat and oil. Suggest oil resisting rubber should be moulded to the centre steel cone. An oil shield should be fitted if possible.

(4) Rear engine support Rubber.
Although SpectreCodename for Phantom III III is in quite good condition, an oil shield appears very easy to fit.

(5) Hand brake rope across the rear axle.
This hits the pinion casing. The rope now is nearly worn right through.

(6) All perfect seal glands have leaked badly.
These have been fitted so that the internal pressure tends to lift the leather from the shaft. By reversing the oil seal the internal pressure would force the leather against the shaft. The Makers say the seals should be soaked in oil for 6 hours before being fitted. So far we have been unable to prevent oil leaks with these seals.

(7) The nearside front bumper bracket to the frame has broken.
This bracket appears to be brass.

(8) Bijur System.
The front pivots and centre steering levers have unrestricted oil supply and leak oil badly. In consequence the whole of the rear of the chassis is dry. Feeds to be pivots and centre steering lever should be made by pipes and the flow restricted.
