2. RM{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std.7/MH.{M. Huckerby} of solder dropped onto valve head and casing external, this being the method we used on one experimental until whose casing came off. This method is not pretty, but would avoid any loosening of the internal joint. We would like to hear from you as to whether you can incorporate these methods on our thermostats and whether you think the job would then be satisfactory. Also, referring to the postscript of our letter of 5th. inst., whether you consider an external pressure of 50 lbs/sq.in. in any way harmful to your thermostat unit.
