S. H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} Grylls, Esq.,
Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd.,
D E R B Y.

Dear Mr. Grylls,

I have been going into the question of an oil suitable for our Overdrive job, in any cases where it might be desired to use the same oil supply for the gearbox as for the Hydraulic operation. I was going into this matter with Mr. Chamberlain (Wakefield) and found that my impression did not coincide with his as to the viscosity of the oil you use in the ordinary way for gearbox lubrication. Would you kindly let me have information in this respect.

I am expecting to be in The Midlands again just after the Easter recess and shall hope to run up to see you one day.

Yours sincerely,
OVERDRIVE GEARS LIMITED.

Edgar de Normanville.

Managing Director.
