W/S PN.{Mr Northey} c. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} c. CWB. X5950 EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}11/H30.12.26. re. 20-HP. Landaulet. GSK-35. We regret not hearing from you in regard to our FP{F. Potts}2/H24.12.26. and we have not proceeded with the modifications which you requested on this car, in view of this memo, until we heard further from you. We have now done all we can as far as the engine is concerned, and although a booming in the front seats still exists, we consider everything has been done to make sure that all is satisfactory in this respect, and do not now feel that any good can be done by changing the engine. A slight amount of "Whipping" and rattle from the dynamo drive has now been cured. We have in the meantime, passed the car over to the Experimental Dept. who desire to make modifications to the steering, which they consider will represent our latest standard practice, and will be standardised by the time this car is put into service. It will also give them an opportunity of confirming the results obtained on their Experimental cars. We hope to be in a position to deliver this car, without modifications such as the front shock absorbers and low pressure tyres, by the end of this week, and if it is still insisted that these modifications should be carried out a longer time will be required.
