CHASSIS GF.68. 10,000MILE TEST.

In answer to your RHC {R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} 4/BE30.12.24, the following items have occurred to us :-

(1) Ignition Coil. Redmanol encased coil TRI at present on this chassis should remain on.

(2) Distributor. Contact breaker lever (aE) fitted with bone grey fibre rubbing block (2nd. sample) should remain on.

The platinum points may be made in good condition for the 10,000 mile test by a slight touching up.

We should like to have the pad cam lubrication scheme fitted.

(3) We should also like to have the new earthing connection for the condenser fitted.

(4) Dynamo. We shall shortly be handing to you dynamo E arranged with one of the new armatures with two coils per slot and annealed copper commutator. This we should like to have fitted to this chassis for the 10,000 mile test.

(5) Distribution Board. We should like the distribution board to be brought up-to-date as regards the cartridge type field fuse and spare.

(6) Starter Motor Switch. We should like to have the switch MP2 exchanged from 7-GII for the standard switch on this chassis.

(7) Fan. If we can get far enough with our Goshawk fan experiments, we should like to have an approved type of fan fitted for this test.
