in reply to Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}3/R.13.9.38.

Dear Sr.,

Many thanks for your Sr/VfII/MLG.9.8.38.

I note what you say about the Streamline car, and suggest that if it is possible it should arrive here on Monday. There is no much object in getting it here on Friday because it will do nothing over the week-end. I have spoken to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} and he would like Paulin to accompany the car.

We are interested in any French car on the road which has proved by its top speed for a given horse-power that it is really well stream-lined. If Paulin can bring such particulars over we might try to make arrangements to get hold of the car and test it on the road wheel dynamometer and then on the track.

I am sorry that you cannot get over with the Streamline Bentley because we have a good many things to show you. However I hope to be at the Salon when I come across with the 15,000 mile Bentley III. One advantage in your coming over later is that we shall be able to get some shooting.

Yours sincerely,
