X-6T5 To E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Bwg.{J. C. Bowring} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Bwg.{J. C. Bowring}4/KT.5.10.33. S.U. ELECTRIC PETROL PUMP. Re. the above. (1) We find that the steel screws which hold the bakelite end plate to the pump body rust after a time, also do the heads of the contact points where rivetted to the spring blade. We suggest that the screws be made of brass and the point heads to be either painted over or treated with an anti rust preservative. (2) The earth wire connected to the rocker is at present only fastened by a brass split pin. We would like this soldered in place of the present method.
