Dear Mr. Robotham, On Friday last we had a visit from Mr. Green and we have made a definite appointment with Mr. Matan of the Pressed Steel Company for Tuesday next the 16th instant. During our conversation Mr. Green mentioned that you were enquiring as to the finalised cost of the B.5 Bodies we are building. I therefore take this opportunity of laying out the procedure we had arranged for these bodies, but you will see from this that we did not anticipate finalising the cost until a later date. Bodies 1 - 6. These bodies are urgently required and have been allotted to Trials, Jack Barclay, Ltd, Continental Trials, Mr. Lappin and Captain Barnato. We are producing these from parts supplied by Motor Panels and other Suppliers, and we are not worrying at all as to whether or not they fit our jigs. To save time, we are cutting and shutting ourselves as there are quite a number of component parts which are not correct. These bodies when built, will be mounted, painted and trimmed and delivered as stated above as quickly as possible. Bodies 7, 8 & 9. We anticipate that during the building of these | ||
