RR. and Bentley Cars.
re Instrument Board Panel.

Replying to your memo Da{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}1/M.18.2.33, RR. scheme 334 as you rightly conclude is not a final scheme, and we have already condemned the features of its construction and the width of the beading shown.

The scheme we propose to follow is mentioned in the last paragraph of our memo E.1/HP.10.2.33 in which the front plate of the box formed in one piece with beading is held on by some concealed fixing secured from behind. We had in mind spring washers and thumb nuts.

We agree that the instruments should be withdrawable from behind.

E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer}
