Steadman: P noted Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/STD X6003 URGE THIS RM.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} c. RHG. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Fm. Des E/JNR.{Charles L. Jenner}4/HP.9.4.36. Phantom III Insulated Thermometer. Please receive herewith LeC.5060 showing the above. The bulb is insulated by rubber in order to avoid transmitting noise from the engine to the front seats. The bulb in the cylinder head is entirely unchanged and the glands etc. have been designed so that there is no need to separate the instrument from the bulb. The hardness of the rubber would be a matter for trial. E/JNR.{Charles L. Jenner} | ||
