1285 West Ridge, Knotty Green, Beaconsfield. 26th March, 1940. Dear Mr. Robotham, I am writing to thank you for your letter of the 18th inst. addressed to Mr. Limb, who I am sorry to say has had a breakdown in health. In reply to your enquiry, we do not handle anti-freeze, but I think you will be able to obtain the information you are wanting from Messrs. Glycerine Ltd., Unilever House, E.C.4. In addition to glycerine there are, of course, other materials used for anti-freeze, among which may be mentioned ethylene glycol and diacetone alcohol. So far as we are aware, there are no figures available showing the total amount of Upper Cylinder Lubricant used up to September last, but it must be considerable, bearing in mind that practically all the leading oil firms market a lubricant for this purpose. I am, Yours very truly, [Signature: R.C.Goodsin] W. A. {Mr Adams} Robotham, Esq., Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd., Derby. RGG/EH. | ||
